The Private Suite at LAX Terms & Conditions

SPECIAL NOTE FOR 2018-2019 PASSENGERS. Due to construction ongoing at Los Angeles International Airport, transportation to/from your airline may require additional time. Conditions may change from day to day and We cannot be responsible for unexpected delays resulting from these airport operations. It is extremely important that you arrive punctually and with sufficient time to permit processing and transportation.

The Private Suite, The Private Suite LAX, and all logos, marks, and trade usage are protected by copyright and trademark laws of the United States. Any unauthorized use is strictly prohibited. Use of facilities at The Private Suite is subject to the following terms and conditions. Use of The Private Suite shall constitute your acceptance of these terms.
The Private Suite LAX is a private club operated by Gavin de Becker & Associates, LP.

Whenever the term “The Private Suite” “we”, “our” or “us” is used herein, it shall refer to The Private Suite LAX. “You” and “Your” shall refer to the Member and those using the Private Suite LAX with the Member.

PLEASE NOTE: By policy and contract, staff members at The Private Suite are not permitted to accept gratuities.

Access to Services and Facilities

Membership and use fees apply as indicated in the pricing section below.  Prices are subject to change without prior notice.  Membership in The Private Suite entitles each Member to the benefits below, subject to the By-Laws of the Club and all of these terms and conditions. Additional charges may apply to special services not included in the membership.

  • Special logistical services.
  • Members receiving services at LAX may be charged fees for handling and processing of baggage in excess of the airline allowance.  Members are expected to make any special arrangements for excess weight or oversized bags directly with the airline carrier in advance of travel. For information on baggage restrictions applicable to the passenger’s airline, please contact the airline directly. The Private Suite assumes no liability for any consequences arising from the attempted processing or airline non-acceptance of excess baggage.
  • Members may host a maximum of two (2) non-traveling guests in their suite. Non-traveling guests are expected to leave The Private Suite facility before or at the same time as the Member. Members agree to provide names and contact information for non-traveling guests in advance. Members shall remain responsible for the conduct of such non-traveling guests in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
  • The Private Suite assumes no responsibility for any damage or loss arising from use of Internet access.

Annual membership fees will be charged automatically to your account until terminated by You.

Limitations & Membership Rules

  • Persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult while using or visiting The Private Suite. No person under the age of 21 may consume alcohol in, on, or around The Private Suite. Violation of this regulation may result in forfeiture of fees and/or revocation of membership.
  • Use of The Private Suite facilities is by reservation only. a confirmed airline reservation is required to make a reservation. Members are expected to create and maintain a current account with The Private Suite in order to book service.  Members are solely responsible to provide accurate and complete information and to maintain all personal information current. The Private Suite is not responsible for inaccurate or outdated information supplied by Members. All accounts must include a valid credit card which will be kept on file. All charges for Membership, Use Fees, and other Expenses approved or requested by You will be charged to Your account.
  • Reservations must be made at least 24 hours prior to departure/arrival.
  • The Private Suite facilities must be used in compliance with State and Federal laws at all times. Violation of this rule may result in revocation of membership without refund of any unused fees or dues. Smoking is prohibited in all areas of The Private Suite except designated smoking areas. Use of narcotics, drugs, or illegal substances is strictly prohibited.
  • Photography, video, and audio recordings, and any other invasive or disruptive behavior is strictly prohibited. Members and others admitted to The Private Suite are responsible to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner and must not approach any other passengers or disclose the presence of such passengers to any third party. The Private Suite reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove individuals from the premises in the event of inappropriate or invasive conduct.
  • The Private Suite reserves the right to decline service to any person.
  • When using The Private Suite services, all baggage to be checked must arrive at The Private Suite facility prior to the time specified by your airline but in no event later than 120 minutes prior to international flight departure time, and no later than 90 minutes prior to domestic flight departure time. Member understands that baggage arriving later than these times might not be accepted or boarded by airlines. In the event a Member’s actions prevent successful service, any charges are non-refundable. The Private Suite shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, delay, or baggage handling errors caused by regulatory agencies, airlines, baggage handling crews, or others, once baggage leaves possession of Our personnel. Please note: Private Suite personnel do not board aircraft or enter the luggage hold to retrieve luggage. Regulations require that we wait until the airline offloads, identifies, and delivers checked baggage. That process is beyond our control and we are not responsible for any delays resulting therefrom.
  • Passengers must comply with airline terms and conditions (including any baggage restrictions) at all times. The Private Suite is not responsible for airline scheduling errors, ticketing errors, delays, or other circumstances beyond Our reasonable control.
  • The Private Suite will not intervene in disputes between an airline and Members or their guests, or between TSA, CBP, Members, or their guests. While at The Private Suite, Members and their guests must comply with any direction or instruction given by any Private Suite staff member, Los Angeles World Airports Police Department, LAX, TSA, or CBP officers. Members and their guests must comply with all applicable security, customs and immigration regulations. The Private Suite is not responsible for delays resulting from any act or omission of the aforementioned agencies.
  • The Private Suite reserves the right to charge a Member’s account for any damage caused to The Private Suite facilities, and for any items that are removed from the facilities without permission by Members or their guests.

Special Additional Services

Special or additional services requested by a Member with at least 24 hours’ notice will be accommodated whenever practical and possible. Any costs, charges, or expenses incurred in the delivery of such special additional services will be charged directly to Your account in addition to standard fees and charges. In-Suite professional services (e.g. manicure, massage, hair, etc.) require a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours advance reservation. These services are supplied by independent licensed professionals and The Private Suite is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from these services. Gratuities to licensed professional service providers is in the discretion of the guest.

Valet Parking is available at The Private Suite. We are not responsible for any articles left in Your vehicle or for any damage or loss not caused by the negligent acts or omissions of Our personnel. Any damage or loss must be reported to Us before You leave the premises. Failure to report any damage or loss prior to Your departure waives all claims for such damage or loss.

Airline Delays

In the event of airline delay beyond the designated period of Your reservation, The Private Suite will make every effort to continue to accommodate Your use of the facility. However, The Private Suite reserves the right to relocate the Member to a Shared Lounge or off-site facilities, including airline lounges when necessary. The Private Suite is not responsible for airline delays of any kind.

The Private Suite LAX Reservation System

  • All passengers using The Private Suite are expected to have a confirmed flight reservation before booking services with The Private Suite and will be asked to provide the confirmation number at the time of booking services. All passengers require valid photo identification, and in the case of international flights, valid passports. Members are solely responsible for meeting all applicable TSA and Customs requirements.
  • Reservations must be completed at least 24-hours in advance of the departing or arriving flight time.
  • Advance booking does not guarantee service.  All services at The Private Suite are subject to operational capacity and availability.
  • Members requiring wheelchair assistance or requiring other special accommodations are expected to inform The Private Suite when making the reservation.
  • Prices set forth on The Private Suite website or in any quotation may be changed or withdrawn by The Private Suite at any time without prior notice. Such changes will not affect membership fees, services, or bookings that have already been paid. Payment of any applicable use fees for The Private Suite is due at the time of booking and will be charged to Your account directly. All fees are subject to cancellation policies set forth in these Terms and Conditions. A valid credit card is required to create your account with The Private Suite LAX and all charges and fees will be charged directly to that account.
  • The Private Suite is not obligated to accept any booking. If a booking is accepted, a confirmation notice will be sent via email whereupon a binding contract is formed between The Private Suite and (i) the individual or company named on the reservation and (ii) (if applicable) the travelling passenger(s), governed by the terms and conditions described herein.
  • Members utilizing agents or third parties to make bookings shall be deemed to be aware of and accept these terms and conditions (including those pertaining to the provision of personal and travel information). In such cases, the full name(s) of the passenger(s) with confirmed flight reservations must be specified. Any person using an Agent or third party to make bookings with The Private Suite shall be deemed to enter into a binding contract that is formed with the agent and the passenger on these terms and conditions.

Exclusions

  • Members using The Private Suite services are responsible for monitoring airline schedules and any potential changes to flight times prior to his or her arrival at The Private Suite. Current flight information will be available at The Private Suite. The Private Suite reserves the right to cancel bookings for any reason including, without limitation, operational, safety, capacity, or security requirements. In the event of cancellation by The Private Suite any fee paid for that use will be refunded. In such instances, The Private Suite shall not be responsible for any consequential, indirect, or other damages or loss arising from such cancellation.
  • The Private Suite accepts no liability for losses, delays or disruptions incurred as a result of:
    • incorrect information being supplied to The Private Suite by its members, their delegates and associates, or by airlines;
    • acts or omissions of any third party including independent service providers, airlines, security, and border control authorities;
    • ground handlers or third party transport arranged by or on behalf of the Member;
    • Any loss or delay caused by matters beyond the reasonable control of The Private Suite, including but not limited to: riot, civil unrest, strikes, interruption of power, airport orders; or orders of any other civil authority, natural disasters, TSA/CBP requirements or orders, security alerts, etc.;
    • Flight delays or cancellations, or unannounced gate changes.
  • The Private Suite shall not be liable to any Member, under any conditions, for any:
    • Loss of profits;
    • Loss of revenue;
    • Loss of use;
    • Loss of or corruption to data or information;
    • Indirect or consequential loss of any kind.
  • Except for gross negligence or willful misconduct by The Private Suite or its employees, Our total aggregate liability in contract, tort (including negligence), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise in connection with the use of The Private Suite shall not exceed the per use or membership fee of the Member.
  • The Private Suite reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. You are advised to visit www.theprivatesuite.com regularly to check for updates.

The United Airlines Private Suite Program Reservation Policy

The Private Suite, The Private Suite LAX, The United Private Suite, and United Airlines and all logos, marks, and trade usage are protected by copyright and trademark laws of the United States. Any unauthorized use is strictly prohibited. Use of facilities at The United Private Suite is subject to the following terms and conditions. Use of The United Private Suite shall constitute your acceptance of these terms.

Limited Membership – The United Private Suite at LAX

The Private Suite at LAX is a private club operated by Gavin de Becker & Associates, LP. The United Private Suite is a facility operated jointly by The Private Suite at LAX and United Airlines to provide limited benefits to participating United Airlines passengers. United Airline passengers will be granted a limited one-time use membership for the United Private Suite subject to these special terms and conditions. In the event of any conflict or disparity between these United Private Suite terms, services, or provisions and those applicable to The Private Suite at LAX published elsewhere, these provisions shall be controlling for all United Private Suite passengers.   • The United Private Suite is a communal suite. Private suites are reserved for full members only.
  • The following full membership services are not included with the limited membership in the United Private Suite but may be purchased directly by the United passenger at additional charge:
    • Valet Parking
    • Car Detailing
    • Massage
    • Manicure
    • Men’s Haircut
    • Menu meal ordering
    • Travel amenities
    • Individualized BMW transportation (United Private Suite passengers will be provided transportation to/from airlines in vans or busses with others traveling on the same flight)

  • When using The United Private Suite services, all baggage must arrive at The United Private Suite facility prior to the time specified by your airline but in any event no later than 120 minutes prior to international flight departure time, and no later than 90 minutes prior to domestic flight departure time. You understand and agree that baggage arriving later than these times might not be accepted or boarded by airlines. In the event lateness prevents successful service, the charges are non-refundable. The United Private Suite and its parent entities shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, delay, or baggage handling errors caused by regulatory agencies, airlines, baggage handling crews, or others, once baggage leaves possession of Our personnel. Please note: Private Suite personnel do not board aircraft or enter the luggage hold in order to retrieve luggage. Regulations require that we wait until the airline offloads, identifies, and delivers checked baggage. That process is beyond our control and we are not responsible for any delays resulting therefrom.
  • Passengers must comply with airline terms and conditions (including any baggage restrictions) at all times.
  • The Private Suite/United Private Suite will not intervene in disputes between any airline and users of the United Private Suite, or between TSA, CBP, and passengers using the United Private Suite. While at The Private Suite facilities, users of the United Private Suite must comply with any direction or instruction given by any Private Suite staff member, Los Angeles World Airports Police Department, LAX, TSA, or CBP officers. United Members must comply with all applicable security, customs and immigration regulations.
  • The Private Suite reserves the right to charge a United member’s account for any damage caused to The Private Suite facilities or the United Private Suite facilities, and for any items that are removed from the facilities without permission.

Special or additional services requested by a United Member with at least 24 hours’ notice will be accommodated whenever practical and possible. Any costs, charges, or expenses incurred in the delivery of such special additional services will be charged directly to Your account in addition to standard fees and charges. The United Private Suite Reservation System

  • All reservations for use of the United Private Suite must be made through a registered/authorized travel agent, United Airlines website, or through www.theprivatesuite.com reservation system using an affiliate code supplied by United Airlines. United Passengers wishing to receive special services for additional charge or those requiring any special assistance due to disability should contact memberservices@theprivatesuite.com for additional information.
  • If not included in Your United Airlines Fare, charges for use of the United Private Suite booked through The Private Suite, are Domestic flight: $1250 per passenger, International flight: $1495 per passenger.
  • All passengers using The United Private Suite must have a confirmed flight reservation before entering The United Private Suite and will be asked to provide the confirmation number at the time of entry. All passengers require valid photo identification, a valid credit card, and in the case of international flights, valid passports.
  • Reservations for the United Private Suite and any special services must be made at least 24-hours in advance of the departing or arriving flight time.
  • Advance booking does not guarantee service.  All services at The United Private Suite are subject to operational capacity and availability.
  • Payment of any applicable use fees or extra charges for The United Private Suite is due at the time of Your reservation for such services and will be charged to Your account directly. All fees are subject to cancellation policies set forth in these Terms and Conditions. A valid credit card is required to create your account with The United Private Suite and all charges and fees will be charged directly to that account.

Cancellation

  • If the reservation for use of the United Private Suite is made through the United Airlines portal or an affiliated travel agent, the charges for use of the United Private Suite are included in the ticket price. Cancellation of such reservations are made through United Airlines and are subject exclusively to Airline Cancellation Policies.
  • If the reservation for use of the United Private Suite is made through The Private Suite portal and paid separately from travel, if cancellation is made more than 96 hours prior to flight departure or arrival, a 50% refund will be applied to Your next use of the United Private Suite. Cancellations made within 96 hours of LAX flight departure or arrival are not subject to refund. Cancellation by Us due to operational needs at any time will result in a full refund of any fees paid in advance to Us.

Exclusions

  • Members using The United Private Suite are responsible for monitoring airline schedules and any potential changes to flight times prior to arrival at The United Private Suite. Current flight information will be available at The United Private Suite. Like any passengers, Members are responsible to ensure that they meet the appropriate passport, Visa, and health requirements, about which The United Private Suite assumes no responsibility.
  • The United Private Suite reserves the right to cancel bookings for any reason including, without limitation, operational, safety, capacity, or security requirements. In the event of cancellation by The United Private Suite any fee paid for that use will be refunded. In such instances, The United Private Suite shall not be responsible for any consequential, indirect, or other damages or loss arising from such cancellation.
  • The United Private Suite accepts no liability for losses, delays or disruptions incurred as a result of:
    • incorrect information being supplied to The United Private Suite by its members, their delegates and associates, or by airlines;
    • acts or omissions of any third party including independent service providers, airlines, security, and border control authorities;
    • ground handlers or third party transport arranged by or on behalf of the Member;
    • Any loss or delay caused by matters beyond the reasonable control of The United Private Suite, including but not limited to: riot, civil unrest, strikes, interruption of power, airport orders; or orders of any other civil authority, natural disasters,

    • Flight delays or cancellations, or unannounced gate changes.
  • The Private Suite shall not be liable to any Member, under any conditions, for any:

    • Indirect or consequential loss of any kind.
